A new insight into the cosmetic surgery industry in Glasgow is hitting our screens today as the BBC releases a four-part series.
The series will have a focus on company leaders, Dr Darren McKeown and husband Tom Cronin, who is a Glasgow-based doctor and clinic manager.
The series will chart an exciting year for the pair, both professionally and personally as the couple prepare for the arrival of their new baby.

All four parts of the series, Facelift, are available on BBC iPlayer now with the first episode going out on the BBC Scotland channel tonight at 10pm.
In 2022 the couple married and found the premises in which Darren says he wants to create "the world’s finest, most luxurious cosmetic surgery hospital." It was a milestone year for the pair as they also became parents to a much wanted baby daughter.
The first episode finds the couple in the wake of their wedding, having found the premises for their next hospital clinic in a city-centre three-storey Georgian building, with a townhouse on the side.
The ambitious couple hope to "make Glasgow the centre for cosmetic medicine globally".
Following a team of builders and architects, the series reveals what it really takes to bring a project like this to life.
The series also introduces the clinic team including aesthetic doctor Rhona, a former GP with a dry sense of humour, Darren’s assistant and nurse Lorraine, patient co-ordinator Shelley, new recruit Nina and plastic surgeon Russell.
Produced by Two Rivers Media for BBC Scotland, the series uncovers the cosmetic world, with patients featured ranging from Janet, who wants to counter the sudden aging brought on by chemo treatment in the wake of a diagnosis of breast cancer, to young mum Nicola, desperate for treatment for her acne scarring.
As well as showing patient case studies, the series goes behind the scenes to see how this area is developing from Tom and Darren checking out hyperbaric chambers in Palm Springs to Dr Rhona Cameron taking new recruit Dr Nina Singh, another former GP, through the later stages of her training.
Darren said: “I can’t wait for people to see the series and see our story for themselves.”
