A new all-inclusive playpark has been welcomed in Belfast after opening this week.
This week the newly refurbished playpark in Ormeau Park opened to the public once again with its disability friendly facilities, including a wheelchair swing and sensory equipment.
South Belfast SDLP councillor Gary McKeown has welcomed the redevelopment of the park and hopes that it will continue to remain a community hub where families from across the area can meet and play.

Cllr McKeown said: "The old playground on Park Road was a hub of the community for years where children, parents, childminders, grannies and grandas have met up and enjoyed the open space, so it is great to see that the brand new playground has now opened, meaning future generations of kids will get to have fun and create memories here.
"We've been working with officers to help ensure the new playground is fully-accessible, and they've pulled out all the stops with a wheelchair swing and sensory equipment for example, along with the usual playground features you would expect to see, as well as picnic benches.
"The work took a bit longer than planned, but the final result is brilliant. The completion of the playground also means the entrances to Ormeau Park from Park Road have now reopened, which is good news for park users.
"This is all just in time for the Easter break and ahead of the summer months, so I'd encourage everyone to come down and check it out."
