A toddler who was left on a bus for six hours at a childcare centre in central Queensland last week has been discharged from hospital and has returned home to Rockhampton.
Nevaeh Austin was revived after being found on the bus at Le Smileys Early Learning Centre in Gracemere on Wednesday afternoon.
The three-year-old was flown in a critical condition to the Queensland Children's Hospital in Brisbane and was on Saturday moved into a regular ward, where she remained in a stable condition.
She was discharged from hospital and arrived home in Rockhampton after flying from Brisbane with her parents today.
Police and the Department of Education are investigating the incident.
No charges have been laid at this stage.
Nevaeh was the only child who was picked up by the childcare centre bus on Wednesday morning.
Queensland police said she was left behind by the driver and another staff member at 9am and was found unconscious six hours later when staff returned to the vehicle for the after-school pick up.
