On Tuesday, Netflix announced that Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will help produce and launch a new streaming series, “Greatest Roasts of All Time.”
As part of the series, Brady himself will be on the end of a roast. And Netflix decided to get an early start on that in the series announcement, using the New York Giants to dig at the seven-time Super Bowl champion.
“We can’t wait to burn three-time Super Bowl-losing quarterback Tom Brady, who only went back to the NFL in order to delay this roast,” said Robbie Praw, Netflix’s vice president of stand-up and comedy formats. “In all seriousness, it’s a huge thrill to work with the greatest football player of all time on this project. No one’s better at taking hits and still coming out on top, so we know the roast will be a breeze for Brady.”
Three-time Super Bowl loser? Bazinga.
Brady, of course, lost Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl XLVI to Eli Manning and the New York Giants. The XLII loss remains one that sticks in Brady’s craw as the New England Patriots entered that game a perfect 18-0.
The third Super Bowl loss came at the hands of Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles, but who really cares about that one?
Brady will be among the first to be roasted on the series. His beating will be filmed in 2023 and you can guarantee there will be an endless wave of Manning/Giants jokes for the GOAT to contend with.
