As we head into the festive season, binge-watching becomes even cozier as it’s the perfect excuse to curl up and dive into something new. But with Netflix constantly dropping fresh TV shows, keeping up with everything can feel like a full-time job, especially when you add in all the other top streaming platforms.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed trying to choose your next Netflix fix, chances are you’ve peeked at the top 10 chart for guidance. However, what’s popular isn’t always what’s worth your time. Each week, we comb through Netflix’s top 10 and handpick just three trending titles that truly deserve a spot on your watchlist.

This article is based on what was in the Netflix U.S. top 10 as of Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

Best shows in the Netflix top 10

‘Death by Lightning’

One of the biggest new arrivals on Netflix recently and one that quickly shot to the No. 1 spot is “Death by Lightning,” a gripping political drama inspired by Candice Millard’s book “Destiny of the Republic.”

The series follows the remarkable journey of James A. Garfield, tracing his rise from modest congressman to U.S. president, and the shocking assassination that ended his presidency before it ever had the chance to begin.

James A. Garfield (Michael Shannon) is an unassuming congressman who unexpectedly becomes the 20th President of the United States. As he steps into the national spotlight, his swift ascent draws admiration from supporters and suspicion from rivals.

Meanwhile, a disgruntled office seeker named Charles Guiteau (Matthew Macfadyen) grows dangerously obsessed with him, setting the stage for a shocking assassination that will change American history.

‘Stranger Things’

Few shows have defined Netflix quite like “Stranger Things,” and the long-awaited final season is nearly here. With season 5 part 1 fast approaching, now is the perfect time to revisit Hawkins or binge the entire series from the beginning. If you somehow haven’t watched it yet but want to join the hype, this week is the perfect opportunity to catch up and get ahead.

Set in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana, “Stranger Things” begins with the mysterious disappearance of young Will Byers (Noah Schnapp). As his friends search for him, they encounter a strange girl known only as Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), who possesses unusual abilities and seems to have escaped from a nearby government lab. At the same time, Will’s mother, Joyce (Winona Ryder), becomes convinced he’s trying to communicate with her from somewhere unseen.

‘Nobody Wants This’

“Nobody Wants This” turned out to be one of Netflix’s biggest surprises of 2024. Erin Foster’s rom-com flew under my radar at first, but once it premiered and started generating hype, I decided to give it a try and immediately got hooked. So, obviously, I’ve spent the past year eagerly anticipating the show’s second season, which finally arrived last month.

When Joanne (Kristen Bell), an outspoken agnostic who co‑hosts a podcast about relationships, meets Noah (Adam Brody), a recently single rabbi whose world revolves around faith and tradition, sparks fly and complications follow. As their unexpected bond grows, they face the challenges of family expectations and the demands of their very different lives.
