Netflix logo on a green background.

We're barreling through June at a steady clip, and the best streaming services are serving up plenty of new options to fill our watchlists so we can spend summer in the glorious AC. But with so much on offer, narrowing down your search can quickly become exactly the kind of headache your weekends were meant to escape.

That's why I'm here every weekend to help you skip the scrolling and get to streaming with a round-up of the most buzz-worthy movies that are actually worth a watch. I comb through the Netflix top 10 list to see which movies have gotten the most hype, and highlight only the best of the best. The ones that made the cut this weekend include J-Lo's glossy new romcom, a horrifying true crime documentary about the lengths one women will go to become a mother, and a slow-burning Polish thriller that'll haunt you long after the credits roll.

Not vibing with any of these movies? No worries: Our guide to everything new on Netflix this month has plenty more recommendations on what to watch. So without further ado, here are the three must-watch movies in Netflix’s top 10 this weekend. Enjoy!

This article is based on Netflix's top 10 movies list in the U.S. as of 11:00 a.m. ET on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Best movies in the Netflix top 10

'Office Romance' (2026)

J-Lo proves she's still the queen of romcoms with "Office Romance," a glossy new addition to Netflix's catalogue that's held strong in the top 10 for two weeks in a row. Though it's finally lost the #1 spot to Netflix's latest true crime documentary (proving that "if it bleeds, it leads" still holds true), it's still exactly the kind of breezy watch that weekends were made for. It doesn't break new ground for the genre, but its sharp dialogue and the natural chemistry between its leads is delightful enough to hold your attention.

As you may have guessed from the title, it follows a secret workplace romance between two ambitious professionals who try to fit an ill-advised relationship into their demanding careers. Lopez stars as Jackie Cruz, the no-nonsense CEO of a major airline whose high standards keep everyone around her on edge. Little does she know that a driven new hire (Brett Goldstein) is about to turn her life upside-down. Despite the messiness of their situation, an undeniable spark between them rages into something more.

'Maternal Instinct' (2026)

Netflix subscribers can't get enough true crime stories, and it's hard to find one more shocking than the murder of Reagan Simmons-Hancock. So there's no wonder "Maternal Instinct" shot to the No. 1 spot the week it arrived. This documentary tells the tragic tale of her murder at the hands of Taylor Parker, a young woman determined to start a family with her boyfriend Wade Griffin, a hog trapper from a small Texas town.

When Taylor's pulled over by a state trooper in 2020, she claims that she'd just given birth to her newborn baby in her car. But with not a spec of blood in sight, her story falls apart, revealing the horrifying lengths she would go to in her desperate quest to become a mother. For true-crime fans, "Maternal Instinct" offers one of the genre's most unsettling real-life stories. The case is as tragic as it is shocking, unfolding in ways that seem almost unimaginable.

'Colors of Evil: Black' (2026)

I hadn't heard of Malgorzata Oliwia Sobczak's crime-thriller series before watching "Colors of Evil: Red" in 2024, but the Netflix original left enough of an impression that I was eager to check out its follow-up when it arrived this week. "Colors of Evil: Black" reunites us once more with prosecutor Leopold Bilski (Jakub Gierszał), whose latest case uncovers the dark secrets and simmering tensions hidden beneath the surface of a seemingly ordinary community.

After being reassigned to the quiet town of Kashubian, Bilski expects his life to slow down. Instead, he's pulled into a disturbing investigation when a young boy disappears without a trace. As he hunts for answers, long-buried secrets begin to emerge, entwined with local folklore, painful memories, and secrets that some residents would rather keep hidden forever.
