Netflix is set to revive the beloved comic character Mafalda in a new animated series, reintroducing the precocious and witty six-year-old created by the late Argentinian cartoonist Quino. Mafalda has been a cultural icon for over 60 years, known for her irreverent humor, sharp observations, and social commentary.
The new series, helmed by Oscar-winning Argentinian director Juan José Campanella, aims to reconnect new generations with Mafalda's timeless wisdom and humor. Campanella, a longtime fan of the character, is dedicated to honoring the legacy of Quino, who originally conceived Mafalda in 1964.
