Many popular titles will be removed from Netflix in June, giving viewers just days to watch them before they're gone. The likes of Bohemian Rhapsody, Paddington 2, Pulp Fiction, Good Will Hunting and The Breakfast Club will all be taken off the streaming platform within the next month.
Commenting on the shows and films being removed from its service, Netflix said: "Though we strive to keep the titles you want to watch, some titles do leave Netflix because of licensing agreements. Whenever a TV show or movie license is expiring, we consider things such as if the rights to the title are still available and how popular it is in a region, and how much it costs to license."
A recent example of how licensing agreements impact what is shown on Netflix was seen recently with the arrival of the entire Harry Potter collection. Only now has Netflix been able to strike a deal to allow the enormously popular film franchise to be streamed by users.
