Production for the hit Netflix series The Crown, which follows the reign of the late Queen Elizabeth II, has begun and first-look images have been released of the actors playing a younger Prince William and Kate Middleton. Some filming has already taken place in Scotland.
Ed McVey will play Prince William and Meg Bellamy is starring as Kate Middleton. Younger child actors have already portrayed Prince William in The Crown in previous series and the sixth series is the first time viewers will meet Kate.
The sixth series will show the couple while they are at St Andrews University in Scotland which is where the couple met. In the pictures, Ed bears a striking resemblance to a young Prince William and in one of the photos the young pair are walking along hand in hand.
