Netflix has just dropped the much anticipated trailer for ‘Pamela, a love story,’ the upcoming documentary about the life and career of Pamela Anderson. The streaming platform has described the doc as “an intimate and humanising portrait of one of the world’s most famous blonde bombshells, Pamela.”
It follows the 55-year-old's life and career from small town girl to 'international sex symbol, actress, activist and doting mother'. In it, Anderson will address the controversy over her leaked sex tape with ex-husband Tommy Lee, 60.

Hulu made a series about the sex tape scandal last year which tells the story of Pamela’s whirlwind romance with Lee, and the chaos that unfolded in their lives in the 1990s when their unauthorized sex tape was made public.
However, this time, the Baywatch actor says: “I blocked that stolen tape out of my life in order to survive. Now that it's all coming up again, I feel sick. I want to take control of the narrative for the first time.”
“I didn’t feel like I had a lot of respect. I’m not the damsel in distress."
Reacting to the trailer, fans tweeted their support for Anderson. In relation to Hulu’s Pam and Tommy, many - including the couple's youngest son - said they were looking forward to Pamela clearing the air.
Dylan Jagger Lee, who is now a model and musician, said: “Love you and so proud of you! It’s time to take back your life and story.”
One fan said they couldn't wait for the doc, tweeting: “I cannot wait for this Pamela Anderson documentary — love that she’s reclaiming her story after the series from last year.”
“So many inaccuracies in the show. I'm glad she can tell what was real and what was exaggerated for tv,” another commented.
One person tweeted, “she finally can tell her narrative without it being glamorized by pop culture or nostalgia.”
‘Pamela, a love story’ premieres January 31 on Netflix.
