Netflix is getting Universal live-action movies earlier than expected — here's the blockbusters you can stream soon

Netflix is set to become the new streaming home for Universal movies sooner than we expected. Back in October 2024, Netflix and Universal announced a fresh agreement that meant the streaming giant would get Universal and Focus Features live-action movies (after their initial premiere on Peacock) from 2027.

However, new reports have emerged, confirming that Netflix U.S. will now get new live-action Universal movies from January 2026, with "Megan 2.0" — which will come to the streaming service on Monday, Jan. 26 — set to be the first arrival under this new arrangement (as previously reported by What's On Netflix).
