Netflix fans have been left gobsmacked after binge-watching brand new documentary The Tinder Swindler.
The new film tells the jaw-dropping story of a prolific conman who posed as a billionaire playboy on Tinder, and the women who set out to bring him down.
A synopsis reads: "Swipe, swipe, swipe… It’s not easy to find love online, so when Cecilie matches with a handsome billionaire playboy, she can’t quite believe it when he turns out to be the man of her dreams.
"But dreams aren't reality and by the time she discovers this international businessman isn’t who he says he is, it’s too late. He’s taken her for everything.
"Where this fairytale ends, a revenge thriller begins. Cecilie discovers his other targets and once they band together, they're victims no more: THE TINDER SWINDLER meets his match.
"From the producers of ‘The Imposter’ and ‘Don’t F**k with Cats’, this riveting feature documentary follows as they uncover his true identity and fight to bring him to justice."
The Tinder Swindler dropped on the streaming service on February 2, and Netflix users have wasted no time in binging the film.
Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: "Currently binging The Tinder Swindler."
A second posted: "The Tinder Swindler on @netflix is an absolute WILD RIDE. If you have watched it please comment below and let me know if your jaw also was on the ground the entire movie?! #TheTinderSwindler #TinderSwindler."
Someone else wrote: "Was waiting for this documentary on Netflix. The Tinder Swindler. What a crazy crazy story. Definitely worth Streaming."
Another Netflix user added: "Have y’all watched The Tinder Swindler…I can’t be gasping on my own!"
However, not everyone was impressed as one viewer tweeted: "Tinder swindler is one of the dumbest stories I have ever seen."
A second added: "jesus, this tinder swindler docu is seriously stressing me out."
Other people were simply baffled at how conman Shimon Hayut managed to convince the women to travel with him and give him money.
Hayut previously served three years in Finnish prison for defrauding several women in order to fund his lavish lifestyle of fast cars and luxury hotels.
The Netflix documentary centres around three of his victims, Cecilie Fjellhoy, Pernilla Sjoholm and speaking for the first time, Ayleen Charlotte.
The Tinder Swindler is available to stream on Netflix now.
