It’s been a tough season for Rodgers and the New York Jets. After Sunday’s 26-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, the Jets fell to 3-9. New York has a less than 1% chance of making the playoffs.
Even with the season being essentially over, Rodgers wants to continue to play as long as he’s healthy.
“We get paid for 17 weeks. Not 10, not 11, not five, so if you’re the starter, you want to play all the games. I want to be out there with my guys and battle as long as I feel healthy,” Rodgers said on Tuesday’s Pat McAfee Show. “Body feels as good as it felt, whether fortunately or unfortunately for the situation, body feels great I want to be out there, I want to be out there with the guys, I want to battle. Have a lot of pride in playing.”
Rodgers mentioned that one of his goals for 2024 was to play in all 17 games. The Jets have five games remaining in the regular season.
The Jets travel to Florida to play the Miami Dolphins (5-7) in Week 14.
