Netflix confirms series three of Bridgerton will be a treat for 'Polin' fans

Netflix has confirmed that series three of Bridgerton will stray away from the books it is based on - but it's great news for fans of 'Polin'.

The streaming service has confirmed the third instalment of the popular show will focus on the love story of Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington. The actress who plays Penelope herself, Nicola Coughlan, also made an announcement at the FYSEE panel in Los Angeles over the weekend, but the streaming giant has now confirmed the news itself on social media, Yorkshire Live reports.

If the period drama had followed the books, written by Julia Quinn, the next story would have been focused on the second eldest Bridgerton brother, Benedict. However, series three will instead tie in with the fourth book, Romancing Mr Bridgerton.
