Netflix comedy branded 'best show' after landing perfect Rotten Tomatoes score

Netflix has managed to get everyone talking after releasing its new dark comedy BEEF, which has already received a perfect 100 score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The series, which only dropped on Thursday, has already been hailed by fans as the "best show of the year" while others hurry to catch up.

BEEF stars The Walking Dead actor Steven Yeun and comedian Ali Wong as it follows the aftermath of a road rage argument between two strangers.

In the 10-episode show, Danny Cho (Yeun) goes head-to-head with Amy Lau (Wong) as their bitter feud unravels their lives and relationships

According to the streaming giant, the feud "brings out their darkest impulses".

The new series comes from South Korean writer Lee Sung Jin and is produced by A24, the company behind award-winning films such as Everything Everywhere All at Once and The Whale.

Fans have flocked to Twitter to share their rave reviews for the show.

"This is the best show of the year. #BEEFNetflix," one fan wrote while another tweeted: "Happy to report #BEEFNetflix is as good as I knew it would be!!!!"

Someone else added: "I started binging this show this morning and all I can say is WOW. I can tell the script was thought out and well-written. The buildup, their chemistry is 10/10. They deserve all their flowers. Also, I need season 2 like right now!"

A fourth review read: "#BEEFNetflix is exactly the opposite of what you think it’s gonna be. Like, at every point. And that’s one of the many reasons it’s one of this year’s best shows!"

"I never rewatch shows... #BEEFNetflix is an exception. This show is everything," another viewer raved.

BEEF was in fact inspired by a real-life road rage incident involving the show's writer, though he has stressed that events didn't become as wild as they do on screen.

Alongside Yeun and Wong in the starring roles, the cast also features Joseph Lee, Young Mazino, David Choe and Patti Yasutake.
