Netflix has cancelled another popular show after one season, as the streaming giant adds to the woes of already frustrated viewers. The company has confirmed the romantic comedy Uncoupled has been dropped after its season one finale ended with a cliffhanger.
The show – from Emily in Paris creator Darren Star – stars American actor Neil Patrick Harris as a gay man in New York City who finds himself single after being suddenly dumped by his partner of 17 years. It suffered from low ratings and spent just one week in sixth place on Netflix’s global top 10 following its July 29 premiere before falling from the table.
But despite its poor performance, the LGBT+ comedy acquired a dedicated following, who have been left fuming at its cancellation. Since the move was announced on Friday (January 13), many fans have taken to Twitter to vent their frustrations.

Netflix has now dropped five shows this year, as Uncoupled joins the previously cancelled 1899, Inside Job, Dead End: Paranormal Park, and The Chair. It also cancelled popular fantasy drama Warrior Nun in November, causing a backlash from its loyal fanbase.
