Netball: Scottish Thistles expect fiery World Cup qualifers, says Beth Goodwin

World Cup Scotland Ireland Thistles

Beth Goodwin expects this week’s netball European World Cup qualifiers to be fiery for Scottish Thistles and their opponents, as they bid for a place at the competition in Cape Town next summer.

Scotland tackle Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Gibraltar and Wales over a five-day round-robin competition at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow from October 12 to 16, with only two sides qualifying for the World Cup.

Cambuslang star Goodwin says that will provide a bit of needle, with all of the teams believing they deserve to reach the finals.
