PHUKET — Young Thai rocker Rattikarn Amloy, known as Nene Royal, and her band Ozone performed at the market where they had formerly busked on Sunday night, ahead of her trip to the United States to compete in the Live Shows round of America’s Got Talent (AGT).
The 16-year-old music talent and her band appeared on stage at the crowded Naka Weekend Market on Wirat Hong Yok Road in tambon Wichit of Muang district of this island province from 9pm to 10.30pm on Sunday.
The band played mostly English-language songs including The Cranberries’ hit Zombie, which took her through the AGT's audition round. On Aug 8, the Thai teenager performed Hysteria by Muse during the Judges' Callbacks round. Her performance continued to draw attention and praise during this stage of the competition.
During the market concert, Nene thanked her cheering fans for their support and promised even greater performances in future.
She is due to leave for the US and the Live Shows round of the contest on Aug 25.
