Rangers' evolution under Michael Beale was on display during their 5-2 win over St Mirren on Saturday because they are now 'hitting the box'.
That's the verdict of Ibrox hero Neil McCann, who has also praised the impact of Todd Cantwell throughout the match. The January signing netted the opening goal and then laid on two other opportunities for Alfredo Morelos and substitute Scott Arfield to add to the scoreline late on. While other attackers stepped up to the plate with key contributions.
McCann told Sportscene: "I thought Rangers played really well at times, there was a good fluidity about them. They've got players that are hitting the box now which I felt in games maybe gone by the didn't quite have that. But I thought St Mirren were really good in the game and I think when you look at the result Stevie might think it flattens Rangers a wee bit. Mick Beale might think not but I thought St Mirren were good today as well."
Fellow pundit and former Hibs manager Jack Ross also praised Rangers' performance while singling out a clever finish from Cantwell.
He said: "Beautiful finish by Cantwell I have to say because his cross is fired low. He knows he has to [lift it] because the keepers coming."
