Celtic hero Neil Lennon feels the Hoops have "another European trophy in them".
Brendan Rodgers' men currently sit bottom of their Champions League group with just one point from their first four matches.
However, Lennon, who reached the UEFA Cup final as a player at Parkhead, feels his old club can make an impact in Europe once again and highlighted why he feels they can "break the glass ceiling".
Speaking to the official Celtic FC Podcast, he said: " I love us being in the Champions League and on the big stage cause we crave that.
"The Scottish league gets laughed at or whatever but you still have to win the league, it's so important.
"The two ultimatums are winning in the league and forging a reputation in Europe because it's the blue ribboned event. We were the first British club to win it and it's important for us.
"I do think the glass ceiling will be broke one day. I do think we will get through to the last 16 again and hopefully someone takes them beyond the last 16.
"I do think there is another European trophy in us, whenever that will be who knows but I'd love to be there to see it."
Meanwhile, the race to sign Celtic starlet Rocco Vata is heating up.
It's said that several clubs are now interested in the 18-year-old - who is out of contract at Celtic Park next summer.
The Daily Record claim that Frosinone is the latest Italian club to show interest in the Republic of Ireland youth international.
While Celtic remains in talks with Vata over a new deal, it's believed he's grown frustrated at the lack of first-team opportunities, so is open to seeking a new challenge elsewhere.
Should he fail to sign new terms, then he could leave for a bargain price of just £350,000 in training compensation.
Torino are already interested in the wide attacker, with Italian clubs seemingly keen on tapping into the Irish youth market.
Now, this report says that Frosinone scouted Vata when he was away with Ireland's U19s earlier this month.
Nottingham Forest of the Premier League is interested too, with several other clubs believed to have watched the Hoops talent.
