After a three-year absence, Goose Fair returned to the Forest Recreation Ground last week. It's been a time of misery and hardship since the last event in 2019, with plans over the last few years upended by the pandemic.
But the colourful, spectacular event is back, bringing rides, games and all our favourite funfair food and drink. Exciting new white knuckle rides for 2022 included Void and the UK's newest loop fighter, Red Devil.
With hundreds of thousands of people expected to have attended once the fair comes to an end on Sunday, October 9, we've spoken to those living close to Goose Fair - to find out what living nearby the noisy event is like after three years without it on their doorstep.
