Neighbours in shock after seeing 'black smoke' coming from home

Police

Shocked neighbours have recalled seeing "smoke" coming from a property after a fire broke out on Tuesday night.

At around 6.45pm on Tuesday, January 3, neighbours on Holmwood Drive, Formby were confronted by firefighters, paramedics, and ambulances on the normally quiet street.

Police described the fire as a "serious incident" and a cordoned off the property. Neighbours said they were "shocked" by the fire and "want to know how it happened".
