A controversial bungalow conversion has sparked widespread outrage from neighbours, who have labelled the scheme ‘insensitive’ and ‘overbearing’. Residents in the quiet street have slammed major works to the property, claiming it would result in significant harm to the lives of those living nearby.
The build involves two-storey extensions at the front and back of the home, effectively turning it into a two-storey house. Eight objections from locals were received by the council, which took issue with the loss of a bungalow in the borough, as well as the impact during construction and loss of privacy.
The plans were approved. But at a planning committee, a statement was read out from LRJ Planning which represented a neighbour living in the Birmingham street, BirminghamLive reports.
