The finale episode of the hit series Neighbours has finally been announced.
After 37 years on television, the widely-loved soap series is coming to an end on Friday, July 29.
Neighbours' official Twitter retweeted an Australian channel: "After 37 years, 8,903 episodes, countless marriages, deaths, births and disasters, it’s time to say goodbye.
"#Neighbours history-making Finale, 7.30 Thursday July 28 on 10 and 10 Peach."
In the UK, fans will be able to watch the antepenultimate episode in the usual TX slots at 1:45pm and 6pm on Friday 29th July.
It will be followed by the history-making finale which will air as a double episode special at 9pm the same evening.
Fans were heartbroken over the finale date and took to Twitter to share their pain over the ending of the show.
"So upsetting neighbours i loved you on bbc and Channel 5 you were a pleasure to watch gonna miss you," one user said.
Another added: "This makes me feel sooooo sad! I was obsessed by the show in the 80s and 90s it’s the reason I fell in love with Australia as a Brit!"
"So sad to see this show go, enjoyed watching it over the years, good luck to the cast and all involved with the show and Thankyou," one loyal fan posted.
Another upset fan said: "It's going to be a massive and historic final week. Sad but a huge celebration of the show that had a big impact worldwide."
Neighbours actor Jason Donovan recently discussed the final on The One Show and said it will definitely be 'emotional'.

Its last episode will feature appearances from Jason and Kylie Minogue, playing their well-known characters Scott Robinson and Charlene Mitchell.
"I'm not going to give too much away about the episode," Donovan told hosts Alex Jones and Rylan Clark.
"But I can tell you it's going to happen, in what capacity, you are going to have to switch over to Channel 5 and watch."
The presenters continued to press Donovan for more details, but Jason refused to spill.
"There is a bit of denim involved, that's for sure!" he added. "It's a throwback to 1988."
The Finale will air Friday 29th July at 9pm on Channel 5*
