Neighbours who live next to a stalled building site have said that they "do not have a village anymore".
When contractor Crossfield Living went bust work on the 52 affordable homes on Bobby Langton Place in Burscough stalled. The development will eventually see 52 affordable houses built on land which was formerly occupied by Burscough FC's home ground Victoria Park.
Road closures on Bobby Langton Place remain in place despite already causing frustration to the owners of the Barons Club which was trapped in the middle of the development and is now boarded up. Neighbours have had to live with a slowly decaying building site for weeks with many strongly opposing the development in the first place.

Speaking to the ECHO one woman who has lived in Burscough for 22 years said: "We didn't want it in the first place and now the building has stopped. There has been so much development in the village that it is not a village anymore.
"It should never have been sold I would love to see it pulled down and it goes back to a playing field. You could hear them working all day and now we don't have a village it's turning into a town."
The prospect of another housing development coming to Burscough has caused unrest in the community with fears growing over strain on the existing infrastructure and the loss of the historic stadium. It was revealed in April that Crossfield Construction was set to be dissolved having racked up debts of £5.9m.
Weeks later its sister company Crossfield Living ceased to trade after it "faced significant financial pressure" owing more than £3.6m to its creditors. Now it is uncertain when building work will start again.
Alison who has lived in Burscough for 22 years said: "I was not happy about it in the first place, to be honest Burscough has always been a lovely village but if these buildings are complete it will change the atmosphere of the village completely.
"It looks shocking too now it has been abandoned but I have got used to it just sitting there. You used to be able to take such a lovely picture of the sunset but now the building site is just in the way."
Chris Bowen, Managing Director of Torus Developments, said: "We have been working closely with a new contractor in order to re - start the project and complete works on site as soon as possible. Given the construction market, we are currently working in, there have unfortunately been natural delays whilst the new contractor mobilises.
"We understand the frustration locally and have responded publicly to Rosie Cooper MP's enquiries in a bid to be completely transparent in the progress at Burscough and will provide further updates as soon as we have them. Torus are fully committed to completing the scheme and delivering new affordable homes in the town.
"Community members have been invited to raise any questions with Torus directly via consultations@torus.co.uk and we hope to restart the site in the autumn."
