Neighbor called 911 over ‘massive, out-of-control, raging fire.’ Firefighters arrived five minutes later to find nothing wrong

A family enjoying a quiet evening around a backyard fire pit found themselves dealing with an unexpected emergency response after a neighbor called 911 to report a massive, out-of-control, raging fire, Daily Dot reported. The incident, which was shared on Reddit by user u/salsa_spaghetti in the r/mildlyinfuriating community, serves as a frustrating reminder of how emergency services can be misused.

The trouble started after the family spent the day cleaning up sticks from recent storms and mowing the lawn. They decided to relax with a fire, but the neighbor was watching the whole time. According to the post, the neighbor told them, “We’ll see what the fire department thinks of this!” True to their word, a fire truck arrived on the scene just five minutes later.
