'Negligent' UK energy regulator let bosses raise cost of bills, MPs say

ENERGY regulator Ofgem was “negligent” and allowed inexperienced bosses to raise bills, a group of MPs has said.

The Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Committee also said the UK Government needs to immediately change its out-of-date energy bill support and that a massive insulation drive needs to be launched “urgently” to permanently bring down bills.
