NEET UG 2026 Toppers List: Check names, highest marks, state-wise toppers, and other details

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday declared the results of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026, with Punjab's Aryan Gupta and Haryana's Panshul Bansal emerging as the joint national toppers after scoring 715 out of 720 marks.

The results have been announced in time to ensure that the counselling process and admissions to undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH and allied courses remain on schedule.

According to the NTA, close to 20 lakh candidates appeared for NEET UG 2026, which was conducted on June 21 at 5,440 examination centres across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad.

Out of them, 11.21 lakh candidates qualified for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other allied undergraduate programmes.

Candidates can download their scorecards from the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. The NTA has also released the complete list of All India Rank holders, state toppers, category-wise toppers, cut-off marks and language-wise participation details.

NEET UG 2026 toppers

Aryan Gupta from Punjab and Panshul Bansal from Haryana secured the highest score of **715 out of 720**.

According to the NTA:

* 19 candidates scored more than 700 marks.

* 138 candidates scored above 690 marks.

* 1,492 candidates secured 650 marks or above.

* 10,160 candidates scored 600 marks or above.

* 90,780 candidates scored 500 marks or above.

Among the 138 candidates scoring above 690 marks:

* More than 93% were first-time NEET candidates.

* Around 99% were between 17 and 19 years of age.

The top 17 rank holders, who scored above 705 marks, belong to Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.

State-wise toppers

Qualified candidates came from all 36 States and Union Territories.

Some notable state and UT toppers include:

Ladakh: Jigmet Yangchan Lamo – 530 marks

Andaman and Nicobar Islands: Dhruv Tripathi – 606 marks

Lakshadweep: Fahmida Anees – 573 marks

Overall, 17 state toppers scored 700 marks or above, while 26 state toppers scored more than 690 marks.

More than 58% of qualified candidates are women

Women continued to outperform men in this year's examination.

According to the NTA:

More than 58% of all qualified candidates are women.

56.8% of women who appeared for the examination qualified.

55.1% of male candidates qualified.

Category-wise qualified candidates

The category-wise number of qualified candidates is:

General: 2.91 lakh

OBC-NCL: 5.12 lakh

SC: 1.59 lakh

ST: 63,716

Gen-EWS: 95,026

PwBD: 3,666

PwD: 303

The category-wise cut-off marks and percentile lists have also been released by the NTA.

NEET UG 2026 was conducted in 13 languages:

The NTA said the result was declared through a re-engineered evaluation process that allowed multiple stages to run simultaneously.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct counselling for the All India Quota seats in MBBS and BDS courses, while respective state authorities will conduct counselling for state quota seats.

The NTA has advised candidates to rely only on official counselling websites and warned against fraudulent calls, messages and websites claiming to offer admissions, seat blocking or score improvement in exchange for money.
