SALEM: DMK hasn't even fulfilled 10% of its poll promises, BJP state president K Annamalai said on Monday. Annamalai campaigned in Salem and Erode for his party candidates contesting in the local body elections. "NEET is not against social justice as claimed by DMK.
A student from Irular community got a medical seat after NEET," he said. After BJP came to power in the Centre, the number of medical seats has increased by 100% in the country.
Addressing the cadres, Annamalai urged the candidates to make use of social media and information technology while campaigning for urban local body elections. "The Salem city has developed only after the Smart City scheme was being implemented," he said
While several states in the country had reduced fuel rates after the central government did so, the DMK government which promised to reduce the fuel rates has not reduced it as promised in the assembly election.
Citing winning of three BJP candidates in Ramanathapuram and Kanyakumari districts unopposed, Annamalai said, "'Lotus has bloomed in the state."
