Neck injury forces Rani Yahya out of Cody Garbrandt fight on July 9

Cody Garbrandt will need a new opponent for his return to bantamweight.

Rani Yahya (28-10-1 MMA, 13-4-1 UFC) has been forced to withdraw from their July 9 matchup at the UFC Apex due to a neck injury. It is unknown whether Garbrandt (12-5 MMA, 7-5 UFC) will remain on the card.

A person with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the change after an initial report from MMA Fighting.
