Nearly half of British workers (43%) take less than 10 minutes a day when it comes to tea breaks from work – with 15% claiming they are “not allowed” to take such breaks, a study has found.
Almost all employed adults (93%) feel the traditional “tea and biscuit” break is an important part of the working day, leaving them feeling more motivated (41%) and energised (42%), and less stressed (38%).
However, the poll of 4,000 employees found that, outside of their lunch break, seven in ten take less than 15 minutes a day to step away from their job duties.
