Nearly 2,000 homes and businesses in Tameside have been left without electricity this afternoon after a huge power cut.
Around 1,950 properties in the Ashton-under-Lyne area are affected by the outage. Electricity North West said they sending engineers to investigate the problem.
The power is expected to be out until at least 4.45pm, according to the website. A tweet posted by the operator said: "We are aware of a #powercut in #ASHTONUNDERLYNE (OL6) affecting 1950 customers.
