About 179,739 LED finger light toys sold on Amazon are being recalled because children can easily access the three button-cell batteries inside each light, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Sept. 10. Swallowed button or coin batteries can cause serious injuries, including internal chemical burns, and death. No incidents have been reported.
The toys were sold on Amazon.com by California Cade Electronic, LLC, of Hacienda Heights, California, from March 2015 through July 2026 for $5 to $16. CPSC said they violate the mandatory federal safety standard for toys because the batteries are too easy for children to reach.
