About 12,957 hockey visors have been recalled because the shield can crack when struck, turning a piece of protective equipment into a source of the injury it was bought to prevent.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall Thursday for CCM Hockey U.S. FMHVR Hybrid Visors and ACCHVR Replacement Visor Accessories. The agency says the visors and accessories can crack upon impact, posing a risk of injury from lacerations or impact. No incidents or injuries have been reported.
