The clock hasn’t struck midnight just yet on Michigan’s Cinderella Story.
The No. 11-seeded Wolverines upset No. 6-seeded Colorado State on Thursday in their NCAA Tournament opener, and on Saturday, they shocked No. 3-seeded Tennessee to advance to the Sweet 16.
While it was a time to celebrate for UM coach Juwan Howard, a former player in Ann Arbor, he took some time in the handshake line to comfort one of the players on the other side.
CBS’ broadcast crew caught this clip of Howard consoling Volunteers freshman Kennedy Chandler after an emotional game, and I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say it’s one of the coolest moments we’ve seen from the tournament so far.
