After a back-and-forth battle, Game 4 between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors came down to the final shot.
Cruising to a 10-point lead to start the fourth quarter, Sacramento’s De’Aaron Fox came alive in crunch time again. The former Kentucky Wildcat guard lifted the Kings with 12 points in the fourth quarter as his backcourt mate Malik Monk added nine points down the stretch.
While Steph Curry tallied 10 points in the final frame to pace Fox and Monk, Game 4 still got tight as the clock ran down to the wire. With the Warriors’ offense cooling late, Fox buried a clutch triple to pull the Kings within a point with under 30 seconds remaining on the clock.
With the Warriors clinging to a one point lead, Harrison Barnes missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer for Sacramento to help Golden State hang on in a battle, 126-125.
On the way to tying the series 2-2, Curry led the way for Golden State with 32 points on 11-of-22 shooting from the floor with five made 3-pointers to go along with five boards and three assists. Curry, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole all registered 22 or more points in Game 4 against the Kings.
In his return from suspension, Draymond Green registered an impressive performance off the bench with 12 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and a steal and a block in 31 minutes.
Following a botched timeout call from Curry that lead to a Monk technical free throw, Fox notched a game-high 38 points on 14-of-31 shooting from the field with nine boards and five assists in 40 minutes.
Both teams will get two days off before the series heads back to Sacramento for Game 5 at Golden 1 Center on Wednesday evening.
