After building up a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter, the Golden State Warriors repeatedly turned the ball over down the stretch to help fuel a late comeback effort from the San Antonio Spurs. Despite a late run from the Spurs, the Warriors were able to survive in a late thriller on Friday night, 118-112.
Steph Curry helped the Warriors hold off the Spurs with a game-high 35 points on 11-of-20 shooting from the field to go along with six assists and three rebounds in 35 minutes. Curry heated up from beyond the arc, drilling seven triples against the Spurs.
Dario Saric tacked on 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting from deep in 26 minutes off the bench.
In his regular-season debut at Chase Center, rookie No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama notched 22 points on 8-of-18 shooting from the field with nine rebounds and four assists in 35 minutes.
With a win on Friday, the Warriors are still alive in West Group C with a 2-1 record. Golden State will meet the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday for the finale of group play in the in-season tournament.

Warriors beat the Spurs. It was wobbly. They turned it over 24 times. Nearly blew a big lead. But they won. Record: 8-9. They're about to get three days off, two practices and Draymond Green back on Tuesday in Sacramento. Still alive in In-Season Tournament.

The Warriors will get this one 118-112, but it wasn't pretty. A season-high 24 turnovers, including five in the last three minutes. https://t.co/oWQneP0iWi
