After giving up a fourth-quarter comeback and suffering an overtime loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, the Golden State Warriors’ struggles bled into the second leg of their road back-to-back on Thursday against the Western Conference-leading Denver Nuggets.
Despite trailing by only one point at the halftime buzzer, the Warriors lost steam in the third quarter against the Nuggets on Thursday. Without Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, the shorthanded Warriors were outscored 35-22 in the third quarter. The Warriors turned the ball over eight times in the third quarter while the Nuggets went on a 16-0 run to put the game in cruise control for Denver.
Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic fueled the Nuggets’ 134-117 victory on Wednesday night. Murray tallied a game-high 33 points on 12-of-23 shooting from the field with eight assists and five boards.
Jokic notched another triple-double with 22 points, 16 assists and 14 rebounds against the Warriors.
Steph Curry led the Warriors with 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field with five made triples to go along with five boards and five assists in 33 minutes, but it wasn’t enough to end Golden State’s road swing with a win.
After the Warriors capped their three-game road trip with back-to-back losses, the NBA community on Twitter chimed in with different responses. Here’s a look at different reactions from fans and members of the media from Thursday night.

Warriors used to drop 16-0 runs on teams every other game. Now they get it put on them with ease. Life.
