On the second leg of a road back-to-back, the Golden State Warriors started quick to take an early lead against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night. However, it didn’t last long.
The Pacers piled together 47 points in the second quarter to take a commanding lead into halftime. However, a heroic effort from Steph Curry helped the Warriors build a comeback attempt in the third quarter.
Yet, with two minutes remaining in the third quarter, Curry exited the game with a shoulder injury. With Curry ruled out for the remainder of the contest, Golden State’s comeback hopes dwindled.
Adding to the Warriors’ shorthanded rotation that was missing Curry, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green picked up a pair of technicals in the fourth quarter and was ejected with eight minutes remaining in the contest.
Without Golden State’s core, Indiana was able to hold on down the stretch, 125-119. Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 29 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the field with six assists and four rebounds in 34 minutes.
Prior to leaving with an injury, Curry led the game with 38 points on 11-of-19 shooting from the floor with five made triples to go along with seven boards and seven assists.
With another road loss, the Warriors record dropped to 2-13 away from San Francisco’s Chase Center.
After the Warriors’ latest road loss in Indiana, the NBA Twitter community chimed in with different reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Wednesday night.

Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins out. Steph Curry in the locker room checking on a shoulder injury. Draymond Green just picked up two fourth quarter technicals and an ejection. Rough night for the Warriors in Indianapolis. They're down 12 with eight minutes left.

Warriors rank 8th in NBA in midrange percentage (43.8) per NBA Stats.
But they are 17th in attempts (10.2)

Moody: season high in points (15)
JaMychal: Season high in points (13) and threes (3-3)

Stephen Curry will get at MRI tomorrow, Steve Kerr says. No indication of how severe his shoulder injury is right now.

Warriors made it close late, but fall to the Pacers: 125-119, capping what could be a substantial night. Steph Curry left in the third quarter with a left shoulder injury. They're 2-13 on the road and now back under .500 for the season: 14-15. At Sixers next.

Warriors fall to the Pacers 125-119.
They are now 2-13 on the road. The Warriors should be impressed with how they got back into this game given the circumstances but the clear, immediate concern lays with the status of Curry.

FIVE of Jordan Poole's shot attempts were blocked tonight. Most for a Warrior in nearly 2 years. pic.twitter.com/zRjsqk4qtE

“What is there for people to panic about”
How about we’re under .500 and we just lost Steph? Lmfaooo????

Great effort for the Dubs in the second half. Could've mailed it in. Didn't. Positive minutes for Moody and Kuminga.
However, Curry's MRI on his left shoulder tomorrow is massive.

MRI will tell the full story but very few shoulder injuries are season ending. Just trying to send some good vibes out there for #DubNation.

As far as Curry injury, let’s hope it’s like Deebo … where the news keeps getting better and better.

Curry hurt. Draymond ejected. This road trip is going to suck. Ya can just feel it coming. #Warriors

If this was a shoulder subluxation, RTP for NBA players is ~ 3.6 weeks. Shoulder dislocation is ~ 7.6 weeks. Obviously Curry could have another injury instead (muscle strain or stinger) which would be quicker. Just some timelines. Non-dominant arm helps. #DubNation #StephenCurry
