NBA Twitter reacts to Warriors clinching No. 3 seed in Western Conference playoffs with vs. Pelicans

With one final game left on the regular-season schedule, the Golden State Warriors need to check one last box against the New Orleans Pelicans to seal the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference playoff picture.

Behind Klay Thompson, the Warriors handled business.

Despite a third-quarter surge from the Pelicans, the Warriors cruise to get No. 53 on the season and lock up the No. 3 seed in the West’s postseason.

Thompson stayed hot, scoring a season-high 41 points on 16-of-29 shooting from the floor with seven triples on nine attempts from beyond the arc. Thompson tacked on three boards and two assists in 31 minutes on Sunday.

Jordan Poole notched 22 points on 7-of-16 shooting from the floor with five assists and four rebounds in 28 minutes. Both Jonathan Kuminga and Nemanja Bjelica each added double-figure scoring numbers off the bench during the Warriors’ 128-107 win in New Orleans.

Riding a five-game winning streak, the Warriors will head into the opening round of the postseason against reigning Most Valuable Player Nikola Jokic and the No. 6 seed Denver Nuggets.

Following the Warriors’ victory in the 2021-22 regular-season finale, the NBA community on Twitter chimed in with different reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Sunday evening.
