After finally securing their first road win of the season on Sunday against the Houston Rockets, the Golden State Warriors second win on the road wasn’t going to come easy.
On the second leg of a road back-to-back on Monday against the New Orleans Pelicans, the Warriors were without Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green. Kevon Looney was the only regular starter to play on Monday against the Pelicans.
With the Warriors missing four of their core pieces, the Pelicans took advantage. Brandon Ingram led the Pelicans with 34 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field with six boards on the way to a blowout win in New Orleans, 128-83.
As the Warriors were dismantled, Jordan Poole led the team with 26 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the field with a pair of made triples. In a chance to start, Jonathan Kumunga registered double-figures, scoring 18 points to go along with three boards and two assists in 40 minutes.
Following the Warriors’ blowout loss to the Pelicans, the NBA Twitter community weighed in with different reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Monday night.

Warriors didn’t play their stars tonight but between them and the amount of skill position star power on the 49ers….

Kuminga taking double-digit three-point attempts tells you all you need to know about this game…

Of all the stats I see in Warriors’ boxscore tonight, here’s one that’s troubling: Kuminga with one rebound in 28 minutes.
