When the Los Angeles Lakers started the regular season 2-10, most figured they had little to no shot of making the NBA playoffs.
Even when they started playing somewhat better basketball over the next few months, many were still down on their chances of reaching the postseason.
But multiple pre-deadline trades reshaped the team. It finished the season with a flurry. Now, it is headed to the Western Conference semifinals after sending the Memphis Grizzlies home for the summer with a 125-85 rout in Game 6.
The Lakers have already beaten the odds, and now the sky could be the limit for them.
