NBA Twitter reacts to Draymond Green’s controversial ejection vs. Cavs

On the way to their second straight loss, the Golden State Warriors lost a key member during their contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a controversial ejection on Saturday night.

After a lengthy replay review, Draymond Green was retroactively assessed with his second technical foul against the Cavaliers resulting in an ejection. Green recieved an ejection although the review was initially based on a foul Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell committed.

Following a Caris LeVert bucket in the third quarter. Mitchell charged at Green, fouling him hard while the Golden State forward dribbled the ball up the court. Mitchell gestured towards the other side of the court, appearing to be upset about something that previously happened.

Before LeVert’s bucket seconds prior, Mitchell went crashing to the floor after Green appeared to shove the guard in the lane. While Green and Mitchell jawed at each other at center court, Mitchell’s previous foul went into review to determine whether it would be considered flagrant.

Although Mitchell’s foul was ruled a common foul, Green was assessed his second technical for his action on the other side of the court. Despite no foul being called in real time, a technical was given to Green on review.

Following Green’s exit from the floor, the NBA community on Twitter chimed in with different reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Friday night.
