NBA stars are torn on whether Sabrina Ionescu or Steph Curry will win their 3-point contest

Steph Curry is unequivocally the greatest shooter that we’ve ever seen. There’s no doubt about that. Nobody does it quite like he does it — that’s how you break the records that he’s broken.

But listen, man. If you watch Sabrina Ionescu’s 3-point contest performance during last year’s WNBA All-Star weekend? You know that she can shoot with the best of them. She had one of the greatest rounds you’ll ever see.

And, again, Curry is literally the best of them.

So when these two face off against one another, we’re going to see how this thing goes. I have no idea what the end result will be. I’m not confident either way.

And, apparently, neither are some of the NBA’s stars. There seem to be some different opinions on who might win — including from a couple of Curry’s teammates.

Klay Thompson picks Sabrina

OK. This one definitely caught me off guard. I fully expected Klay to go with his Splash Brother here. Nope. He picked Sabrina.

“I got the Bay Area’s finest, Sabrina all day. And she set the record last year — I think she missed one,” Thompson said. What a great teammate.

Draymond Green picks Steph

Draymond Green held his homie down, though. He went with Steph, naturally.

“I got Steph. The greatest ever for a reason. I think you get to see the best of both worlds,” Green said. “It’s definitely something to be excited about. But, of course, Steph is winning.”

Kyrie Irving picks Sabrina

Kyrie Irving is cool with Steph, too, but he went with Sabrina for this one.

“I’m pulling for Sabrina. No disrespect to you, Steph. I love you big bro. But, same time, she got the record. She’s coming to defend her title. You’re coming to the competitive table to see if you could win. It’s going to be interesting,” Irving said.

That’s actually a pretty good point.

Kevin Durant picks Steph ... then Sabrina ... then Steph again

Kevin Durant picked Curry initially, but then Steph jokingly called him an instigator so he switched his pick.

But now, apparently, he’s switching back to Steph.

“I’m going Steph. I said Steph at first, but then he kind of disrespected me calling me an instigator so I went with Sabrina. But I’m going back to Steph. You know how I like to switch,” Durant said.

Fair points all around.
