Fans of the Boston Celtics are being exactly the sort of ebullient, exuberant fans over their favorite ball club finally breaking through to win it all in the 2024 NBA Finals to hang an NBA-record 18th banner. On the site formerly known as Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok and particularly Reddit, Celtics fans have been reveling in the arrival of Banner 18 in Boston and all that this achievement entails.

But the fan reaction on the top Celtics subreddit in particular stood out to the hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, who dug into the reactions they saw there on their most recent episode of the podcast.
