In just over three weeks, Victor Wembanyama should be the presumable franchise-changing No. 1 overall draft pick of the San Antonio Spurs.
But for now, Wembanyama is still a member of the Metropolitans 92 in Paris. And for now, he’s still completely out of the world in comparison to his current competition. (A distinction that will likely continue in the NBA, mind you.)
Take this between-the-legs dunk from Tuesday night.
Not only is there a greater degree of difficulty for a 7-foot-5 player like Wembanyama, he makes the flush at the rim look so casual … as a warm-up!
Yes, yes, and yes to all your questions. In a video shared by Paul Rouget (@PLRGT on Twitter), Wembanyama warmed up with a vicious between-the-legs dunk after throwing the ball off the rim … as a seven-plus footer! What can’t this young man do?

Needless to say, NBA fans couldn’t believe this trick and oh-so-casual dunk from Wembanyama.
NBA fans were amazed by Wembanyama's between-the-legs warm-up dunk
This dude makes it look like he’s playing with that nerf basket you use to put on your door as a kid https://t.co/HQtwu4hLVW

I’ve never seen a 7’3” player have the mobility to throw down an eastbay off the glass.

He’s 7’2” doing this. This is not normal.
If he can do this rn he’s going to be a monster in the league. https://t.co/IbFJ0ZyVze— Wit Of Gold (@wippersn4pper) May 31, 2023
