Former Kansas Jayhawks standout forward Gradey Dick, who hilariously sported a “Wizard of Oz” inspired red suit adorned with a matching pair of red bottom shoes to the 2023 NBA draft, was absolutely roasted on social media after being selected by the Raptors with the No. 13 pick.
The former Rock Chalk star, who averaged 14.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in his only collegiate season in Lawrence, certainly had to expect these reactions would arise once basketball fans across the world had the opportunity to see the outfit up close.
“So I’m from Kansas,” Dick said prior to being selected in tonight’s NBA draft at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. “Dorothy had her little red slippers, I’ve got my Dorothy suit.”
