NBA betting scandal deepens as Malik Beasley and others face federal charges

Malik Beasley NBA Ed Davis

Former NBA players Malik Beasley and Ed Davis have been charged in connection with an alleged illegal sports betting scheme.
Four alleged co-conspirators, including current NBA player agent Paolo Zamorano, are also facing charges.
Prosecutors allege Beasley accepted bribes to alter his performance during games while playing for the Milwaukee Bucks.
The co-defendants reportedly used this information to place fraudulent bets worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Several defendants were arrested on Monday and are scheduled for arraignment in the Eastern District of New York.
