Nottingham Forest have already made some important moves this January transfer window, but there is still more business to be done before deadline day after the club were surprisingly linked with former Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
Gustavo Scarpa's long-awaited free transfer from Palmeiras was confirmed on New Year's Day and he is quickly establishing himself as a cult hero figure. He has been reunited with Danilo, a teammate of his from Brazil, after the Reds bought him for around £18 million.
Meanwhile, Josh Bowler was sent straight back out on loan to former club Blackpool after returning from Olympiacos, while Alex Mighten's short-term future is uncertain after being sent back from him loan spell with League One outfit Sheffield Wednesday.

With several players sitting on the fringes with no prospect of being involved in the second half of the campaign, Steve Cooper will be looking to shape the squad to his specifications before the window closes. Lyle Taylor, Cafu and Harry Arter did not make the 25-man Premier League squad after the summer, while Emmanuel Dennis has fallen out of favour.
The headlines will, of course, focus on who is likely to come in and Forest have been linked with some big transfers of late. Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma is one name that has popped up, although a number of Premier League clubs are also pushing hard for his signature with Everton the favourites to win that particular race.
Navas would be an incredible signing given his pedigree and past success. Despite being a three-time Champions League winner he has dropped to the bench at PSG behind Gianluigi Donnarumma. Dean Henderson is a popular figure among the fanbase, but given his injury predicament then a move for Navas makes sense.
Any transfers that the club make at this stage of the season need to be focused on improving the starting XI. With that in mind, here's what we think the Forest line-up could look like in their first game after the window closes, against Leeds United at the City Ground on 5 February:
Bolstering the attack is one of the club's priorities, along with improving the centre of defence and midfield. They've already sorted the latter, so the frontline could be next on the agenda.
Danjuma would be an ideal addition on the left wing, but as mentioned above Forest would do well to get him in the face of such competition. So a new wide attacker still needs to be identified.
