TV viewers couldn't believe it when Emmerdale actor and I'm a Celebrity King of the Castle, Danny Miller, directed a salty comment at Catchphrase host and frequent butt of Ant & Dec's jokes, Stephen Mulhern at last night's National Television Awards.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! King of the Castle Danny, 31, made a jibe as he joined his former campmates and picked up the The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award on Thursday October 13. He accepted the award as hosts Ant & Dec were at home after testing positive for Covid.
Danny said: "Just on behalf of Ant and Dec who unfortunately have Covid so they can't be here tonight, and Stephen Mulhern is in the crowd so not sure why he hasn't accepted the award on behalf of them." The shot then panned to the television presenter, who looked bewildered at being mentioned during the speech and made a funny face.

Viewers reacted with confusion on Twitter as one said: "#NTAs what was that dig at Stephen Mulhern about? He obviously didn't come and accept the award on their behalf because he's got nothing to do with I'm a Celeb? Seems an unnecessary comment by Danny..." [sic]
Another pointed out: "That was a bit of a weird dig from Danny towards Stephen wasn’t it? #NTAs".
Now, Danny has hit back as he posted a selfie showing the former Emmerdale actor grinning alongside Stephen to his Instagram story.
He wrote on top of the picture: "Don't believe everything you read. A good friend and a personal joke @stephenmulhern."
